Simran's Short Story
Exposition: A woman named Sonja is 16 years old living in Downtown Kenya. She has one older sister, 4 younger sisters, and one younger brother. Her parents own and work on their self ran tea plantation, which didn’t give them large amounts of money. The daughters had to sleep in sleeping bags all In the same room.
Exposition: A woman named Sonja is 16 years old living in Downtown Kenya. She has one older sister, 4 younger sisters, and one younger brother. Her parents own and work on their self ran tea plantation, which didn’t give them large amounts of money. The daughters had to sleep in sleeping bags all In the same room.
insiting incident: in the 1970’s president idi amin of Uganda gave all people of any sort of Asian culture 90 days to leave the country. This forces Sonja and her family to relocate; luckily England had bonds with the African society.
Rising action: Sonja’s family at the time wasn’t able to instantly sell the plantation, so her parents were forced to stay in Uganda until someone could purchase their property. Sonja headed to England with some of her parents money and her 6 siblings.
Climax: Sonja finds a cheap hotel in the city her parents tell her to settle in. The stress from controlling all her younger siblings and the constant worry for the safety of her parents caused Sonja and her older sister Viro to drop out of high school and devote their whole time to supporting their family.
Resolution: Viro, Sonja and there next oldest sibling Raj are able to obtain jobs as dish washers at a local restaurant, which helps pay for luxuries for the family. After 6 months Sonja’s mother and farther are finally able to come join the rest of their family in England after selling their plantation. Sonja decides however not to go back to school and continue to help support her family.
It sounds like a promising story! It's really interesting. I don't have any suggestions.
